REVUE THOMMEN AD32 CHOSEN FOR LOCKHEED C-130 HERCULES
Vienna, Austria March 13th, 2014 – REVUE THOMMEN AG has announced the selection and certification of their AD32 panel-mount air data computer / air data display type AD32 for installation on all three four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft Lockheed C-130 Hercules, operated by the Federal Armed Austrian Forces.
Within the aircraft’s avionics architecture AD32 is the primary source of digital air data, supplied to a variety of interfaced systems.
The THOMMEN AD32 is a self-sensing Digital Air Data Computer incorporated into an electronic altimeter making it an optimum choice for aircraft modernization programs by eased installation. The fully customized DO-178B Level A certified AD32 features RVSM-compliant Static Source Error Correction (SSEC) as well as an integrated altitude alerter. THOMMEN’s CMO, Ralf Kaiser, said: “We much appreciate the selection of our AD32 for this program. It is a further evidence for the perfect applicability of our AD32 for avionics upgrades on large turboprops.”
By using pressure inputs from the aircraft’s P/S-system besides temperature information from TAT or OAT sensor, AD32 provides a wide range of air data information in ARINC 429 format. Additional analogue outputs, as ICAO Encoded Altitude (Gillham Gray Code) and baro-potentiometer plus a variety of discrete in- and outputs enabling perfect system integration.
AD32 is available with white, red and NVIS green lighting (5 and 28 Volt) including customized dimming curve.
