Waldenburg, Switzerland, July 30, 2013 – Xian China has announced the selection and certification of their digital chronometer CM20 by Xi’an Aircraft Company Ltd. (XAC), China, for installation on the twin-turboprop transport aircraft MA60 and MA600.

Xi’an Aircraft Company Limited (XAC) is a Chinese aircraft manufacturer and developer of large and medium-sized airplanes. XAC was established in 1958 and has more than 20’000 employees. Their famous MA60 is a stretched version of the Xian Y7-200A which was produced based on the Antonov An-24 to operate in rugged conditions with limited ground support. The MA600 (MA for Modern Ark) is an improved version of MA-60.

The THOMMEN CM20/30 is a family of digital chronometers providing sophisticated system integration and optimum time-read-out. They meet requirements for on-board time management on nearly all aircraft categories from helicopters via military jets up to airliners by offering following main features:

24 hour clock for UTC or Local Time (LT)
Simultaneous display of clock, elapsed and flight time readings
UTC synchronization via GPS (using SynxT adapto)
Flight Timer (FT) with automatic (controlled via WoW) or manual mode selectable
Elapsed Timer (ET) with split time function
Remote setting functions via RS-232 in master and slave mode
Lighting options (white/white, white/red, white/green NVIS A&B)
-45°C…70°C operational temperature range, -55°C…85°C storage
DO-160F, DO-178B Level D, DO-254 DAL D, MIL-STD 810F
