MORE THAN 800 “EASTERN MADE” AIRCRAFT EQUIPPED WITH THOMMEN AD32
Waldenburg, Switzerland, April 4th, 2014 – According to internal evaluations REVUE THOMMEN AG has delivered a total of more than 800 digital air data displays type AD32 for installations on aircraft manufactured in Eastern Europe within the period of the last 6 years. This includes 450 units installed on helicopters and about 350 AD32 used on transport aircraft.
Stefan Weiss, the responsible Business Development Manager for East Europe and Middle East said:
“Starting the initial installations of AD32 on “Eastern made” aircraft in 2007, we could develop this business in cooperation with our international partners on a much sustained way. In most of the cases AD32 is used for supplying digital air data to TAWS/EGPWS, TCAS, PFD, MFD, FDR and HUD, but also to military equipment. Pilots highly appreciate the accurate information and simple operation; fleet operators the ultra-low maintenance efforts. The product characteristics of AD32 making it an optimum solution for cost efficient aircraft modernization. This includes i.e. compact design, resistance to harsh environmental conditions, certification according to highest aviation standards, plenty of interface options and easy installation besides affordable pricing. Of course this success is no reason for us to rest on the laurels so we are constantly working on further product improvement regarding functionality and operational range – which will significantly extend the project applicability again.”
